Alexandra Picard and Michael Nicolella first performed together in 2012, when Alexandra premiered Michael's composition for soprano, guitar, and orchestra entitled The Flame of the Blue Star of Twilight with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra. Their duo concerts feature an eclectic array of music ranging from 19th-century lieder to the music of Luciano Berio and Samuel Barber with detours into Brazilian and American jazz and popular music.
A groupmuse is a live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.
Note from the host: "We’re excited to host a wonderful evening of exquisite music as we kick off the holiday season.
"Light snacks and beverages provided. You’re welcome to bring your own or something to share. This event is not suitable for small children. Please make arrangements to leave your little ones at home. Family pets within the home will be secured away during the event. Please consider this if you have allergies. Our home has multiple levels, and stairs are required for the event. Shoe booties and masks (optional) will be available for your convenience and comfort. Floor seating is part of the experience, so feel free to bring a cushion for added comfort. A $20 contribution is recommended per attendee, but you are welcome to contribute as little or as much as you like.
