For its Winter 2025 Concert, Puget Chamber Winds is featuring an arrangement for chamber winds of Brahms' Variations on a Theme of Haydn paired with the chamber winds work attributed to Haydn (but now thought to be by Ignaz Pleyel) from which the theme used in those variations originates, the Divertimento (Feldparthie) in B-flat major "St. Antonius".
Also on the program are Suite Persane by Andre Caplet, and arrangements for winds of Nimrod from the Enigma Varations by Elgar and In the Steppes of Central Asia by Borodin.
Doug Wyatt conducts musicians from Seattle-area community orchestras and bands.

Puget Chamber Winds consists of players of wind instruments (and occasionally other instruments) from Seattle-area community orchestras and bands. We perform chamber music in tradition of classical-era Harmoniemusik, such as Mozart's wind serenades, and other later compositions for similar instrumentation.
