Pianist and Dean of Yale School of Music José García-León, violinist Tai Murray, flutist Tara Helen O'Connor, double bassist Chelsea Strayer, and clarinetist David Shifrin are joined by the Yale Voxtet and the Callisto Quartet, Yale School of Music's 2022-2024 fellowship quartet-in-residence. The program features music by Chausson, Pulitzer-prize winning faculty composer David Lang, and Yale composers Charles Ives and Quincy Porter.
About Callisto Quartet
Since their inception in 2016 at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Callisto has garnered top prizes in nearly every major international chamber music competition and has been hailed by audiences across the globe. Grand Prize winners of the 2018 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and Second Prize Winners of the 2019 Banff International String Quartet Competition, the Callisto Quartet has also taken home prizes from the Bordeaux, Melbourne, and Wigmore Hall competitions. Currently the Fellowship Quartet in Residence at Yale University and Associate Artists in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, Callisto has previously held residencies at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spain. The Callisto Quartet maintains an active touring and performing schedule, which has included notable appearances in Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Schneider Concert Series, Ravinia Festival, and the Heidelberg String Quartet Festival.

An artist member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center since 1989, Mr. Shifrin served as its Artistic Director from 1992 to 2004. He has toured extensively throughout the United States with CMSLC and hosted and performed in several national television broadcasts on PBS's Live from Lincoln Center. He also served as Artistic Director of Portland's Chamber Music Northwest from 1981 through 2020 and is currently Artistic Director of the Phoenix Chamber Music Festival.

About Yale Voxtet
Members of the Yale Voxtet are students of Professor James Taylor and are candidates for graduate degrees in voice. The select group of eight singers specializes in early music, oratorio, and chamber ensemble. In addition to performing a variety of chamber music programs each year, the group sings, tours, and records as part of Yale Schola Cantorum.
