Readings and Carols features all of the St. James Cathedral Youth Music ensembles singing songs of Advent anticipation and Christmas joy. Youth readers offer traditional readings from Holy Scripture heralding Christ's birth, and congregational carols are sung in the soft glow of candlelight. No tickets or reservations are required for this liturgy—all are welcome! A freewill offering to benefit the Youth Music Program will be collected.

Fratres, meaning brothers, is a new ensemble the St. James Cathedral is opening to all young men with changing and changed voices (middle school through high school). Fratres offers an engaging, creative, and safe space to make music at the highest level for the changing adolescent voice.
