About Jared Parsons, harp
Based in Seattle, harpist Jared Parsons strives to defy the expectations of the harp in both classical and modern music. He has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral member throughout the United States, most recently with Symphony Tacoma, Olympia Symphony, North Carolina Opera, and North Carolina Ballet. Jared received professional training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts studying under Jacquelyn Barteltt. During his time at conservatory he became fascinated with combining mediums and merging the visual elements of playing the harp with dance, film, and technology. Jared is available for freelance projects throughout the Pacific Northwest area.
