Orchestra Nova Northwest's annual one-of-a-kind celebration. "The Spectacular" at The Reser is back with a special edition featuring some of the greatest music ever written for the human voice. Whether it's Puccini or Strauss (Johann, not Ricard!), there is no substitute for the ebullience and fervor of this music! ONN's Music Director extraordinaire Steven Byess has once again outdone himself in his repertory choices for this extremely popular concert meant to show off the verve and versatility of the ONN musicians. In collaboration with the PSU Department of Opera Studies, four outstanding soloists—Tess Wix, Sequoia Robinette, Johnny Derby, and Brandon Hilsabeck—will bring life to a rich and diverse set of arias that showcase the thrill of live music and all the emotion that is a hallmark of the operatic tradition. Equal parts stunning beauty and cheeky fun, "The Spectacular" this year includes special guest, All Classical CEO Suzanne Nance, who is set to take her own turn in the spotlight.
