Experience the energy of emerging conductors Sasha Scolnik-Brower, Chia-Hsuan Lin, Kyle Ritenauer, and Kellen Gray as they lead the National Symphony Orchestra in concert following masterclasses with Music Director Gianandrea Noseda.
As the culmination of Noseda's first Emerging Conductors Workshop, this performance features four gifted young conductors who have built a strong connection with the orchestra in recent seasons as "cover conductors."
A cover conductor supports the Music Director, acting as an important sounding board when called upon. In this showcase, it's their turn to shine! Over the course of two days, Noseda will mentor these young artists in Workshop rehearsals, then decide who will lead each of four works by Brahms, Mozart, Dvořák, and Liszt in performance. On Jan. 31, audiences are invited to enjoy the concert!
Attending in person: For Millennium Stage performances that take place in the Concert Hall, a limited number of advance reservations are available online on a first-come, first-served basis.
Patrons who make advance reservations can pick up their tickets at the Hall of Nations Box Office starting at 4:30pm. All free tickets are first-come, first-served, and making an advance reservation does not guarantee a ticket. (Grab your tickets early, and before standby distribution begins!)
