DCCOS Chamber Music Concert for Martin Luther King Jr. Day Weekend
$10 ($7.50 senior/student; child free)
Frederick C. Tillis — Spiritual Fantasy No. 24
Samuel Coleridge-Taylor — 24 Negro Melodies, Op. 59 (selections; arr. for piano trio)
Kyle Simmons — String Quartet in D minor (world premiere)
Note: This concert is a reschedule of our January 19 date which was postponed due to snow and ice. Foul winter weather will not keep us from honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., especially during Black History Month.
The DC Chamber Musicians return to the Calvary Lutheran Church to present our annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, featuring works by Black composers. The concert includes the premiere of a lovely string quartet by a young musician member of DCCM. On the program
