Immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind performance by two magnificently innovative ensembles in Zankel Hall Center Stage, which invites audiences to sit on all sides of the performers. Curated by the brilliant Gabriela Ortiz (holder of Carnegie Hall's 2024–2025 Debs Composer's Chair), the program includes the world premiere of Ortiz's new work for Roomful of Teeth, a category-defying vocal ensemble "revolutionizing choral music" (The New Yorker). This unique double-bill concert also features Mexico's groundbreaking Tambuco Percussion Ensemble—a quartet of "mesmerizing creativity" who are "chameleons on dozens of instruments" (Gramophone)—in works by several leading Latin American composers.
