Johann Sebastian Bach — Violin Partita No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1004

Johann Sebastian Bach’s six partitas and sonatas for unaccompanied solo violin encapsulate the entirety of 18th-century violin technique and provide the soloist with points of departure for seemingly unlimited musical discovery. Emmanuel Coppey performs the Second Sonata in A minor, BWV 1003, and the Second Partita in D minor, BWV 1004, the latter ending with the monumental Ciaccona.
