About Michele Fowlin, conductor

Michele Fowlin is a two-time graduate of Howard University (Bachelor and Masters) in Vocal Performance/Pedagogy with a piano minor. While at Howard, she studied with renowned conductor James Weldon Norris and became the Assistant Conductor for University Choirs, conducting concerts nationally and internationally. During her Howard tenure, Fowlin's vocal career flourished greatly. Studying under the tutelage of renown opera singers Regina McConnell, Carmen Balthrop, Charlotte Holloman and Sylvia Olden Lee, for coaching, Fowlin took over as principle soloist for the University's traveling choir. This opportunity led her to solo recitals across the U.S., U.S. Virgin Islands, Europe, and Russia.
