Internationally renowned Israeli cellist Amit Peled returns to Ashland to share a program that centers on spiritual introspection. Peled will select from a wide palate of favorites from the cello repertoire and treasures from the Jewish musical tradition—Max Bruch's Kol Nidrei, heard every year at the High Holy Day of Yom Kippur; Ernest Bloch's From Jewish Life; and the traditional song, Eli, Eli. From 2012-2018, Peled had the distinction of touring with the legendary cellist Pablo Casals' instrument, built in 1733.

Praised by The Strad magazine and The New York Times, and having performed in many of the world's most prestigious venues, Mr. Peled is acclaimed as one of the most exciting and virtuosic instrumentalists on the concert stage today.

He's joined by his longtime collaborator, award-winning pianist Daniel del Pino, one of the leading Spanish concert pianists on the international scene, with performances in major venues on five continents.
