- Katelyn Emerson, organ
Join us for the concluding concert of Trinity Lutheran Church's Artists at the Organ 30th Anniversary Year with internationally renowned organist Katelyn Emerson. Hailed as "one of the world's most promising organists" (Listvinafélag Hallgrímskirkju, Iceland), Katelyn's performances span North America, Europe, and Asia, featuring repertoire from the 14th to 21st centuries. She is praised for her "thrilling" artistry, "impressive technical facility," and "beautifully designed programs" (Cleveland Classical, Orgue Canada).
As a prizewinner of prestigious competitions on three continents, Katelyn has performed in iconic venues such as Walt Disney Hall (Los Angeles), Hallgrímskirkja (Iceland), and York Minster (England). She holds degrees from Oberlin College & Conservatory, the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, and the University of Cambridge, where she is currently pursuing a PhD in music and science.
Katelyn's expertise extends beyond performance to teaching, lecturing, and serving on juries for international competitions. Her two recordings, Evocations and Inspirations, showcase her versatility and passion for the organ. Don't miss this opportunity to experience one of today's foremost organists as she brings Artists at the Organ's 30th season to a memorable close!
