Pacific Rose Ensemble: Works for Strings & Winds with Aromi Park, violin
Free
- Aromi Park, violin
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, K. 216
Amir Avsker — Serenade for Woodwind Trio No. 1 in B-flat major (world premiere)
Antonín Dvořák — Serenade for wind instruments, cello, and double bass in D minor, Op. 44, B. 77
Note: This concert, originally scheduled for February 21st at Lincoln Hall, has been rescheduled February 26 at Madeleine Parish.
Elgar's Serenade is among the most adored works for strings. Following this romantic gem, we are joined by Aromi Park in Mozart's cheery third Violin Concerto. We open the second half with a world premiere by Portland-based Israeli composer and PRE violinist Amir Avsker, and close the concert with Dvořák's Serenade for Wind Instruments, exploring the beauty of winds in chamber music.
