Northwest Symphony Orchestra and the Washington Trails Association (WTA) present their second annual fundraiser concert, "Crescendo: A Symphonic Celebration of Washington Landscapes," on Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm at Benaroya Hall.

Attendees of all ages will enjoy an evening of live orchestral music performed by NWSO paired with breathtaking images submitted by hikers to WTA's Northwest Exposure Photo Contest.

NWSO will perform nature-inspired orchestral pieces including Jones's Mount Rainier Overture, Delius' Summer Evening, and Vivaldi's "Spring" from The Four Seasons, featuring soloist Hanna Gottesman. Hanna is a rising young artist who has performed on both coasts of the United States, including recitals in San Francisco, New York, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. This will be her second appearance at Benaroya Hall.

Also appearing are Seattle's Musical Mountaineers—classically-trained musicians and outdoorswomen Anastasia Allison and Rose Freeman. The pair will perform live along with a new video.

About The Musical Mountaineers

The Musical Mountaineers are Anastasia Allison (violin) and Rose Freeman (piano). Both are classically trained musicians and outdoor enthusiasts, who met in 2017 through a serindipedous series of events and carried their instruments into the wilderness for their very first sunrise serenade. Together, they climb mountains with a violin and a keyboard packed carefully into backpacks in order to remind people of the infinite good and beauty.

The Musical Mountaineers don't announce their wilderness concerts in order to respect Leave No Trace principals and to maintain the purity of their mission.
