Emory Artist Affiliate Caroline Owen will perform a solo piano recital featuring works for solo piano by Samuel Barber, Beethoven, Vítězslava Kaprálová, Missy Mazzoli, and Frederic Rzewski.

About Caroline Owen, piano

A native of Atlanta, GA, pianist Caroline Owen frequently performs as a soloist and collaborator. She has played in venues across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, including the DiMenna Center for Classical Music (New York) and the Wiener Saal and Solitär at the Mozarteum (Salzburg). Passionate about chamber music, Owen regularly collaborates with instrumentalists and vocalists. She also performs on tour as a member of the Astralis Chamber Ensemble. In 2022, Owen earned her Doctorate of Music degree in piano performance from Florida State University. Owen is currently based in Atlanta and serves as part-time Faculty at the University of Georgia, Artist Affiliate at Emory University, and Co-Director of the Decatur Fine Arts Academy.
