Benjamin Britten — Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra
Georges Bizet — Carmen Suites (selections; with reading of 'Ferdinand the Bull')

Every instrument is a soloist star in Benjamin Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra as Maestro Futterman moves through woodwinds, brass, strings, and percussion—a perfect introduction to the sights and sounds of the symphony. Then, a special narrated story will be shared up on the big screen featuring the beloved Spanish bull from the classic children's book, The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf to include music from Georges Bizet's opera Carmen.

Our 45-minute school day performances happen Tuesday, March 18 with two chances to watch: 9:45am and 11:30am. Our family concert for all ages is Sunday, March 23, 3pm at the Bremerton Performing Arts Center, and includes a youth jazz pre-concert performance at 2:15pm in the lobby.
