Partnering with Carnegie Hall for its city-wide Nuestros Sonidos celebration, Mariachi Violetas de NYU brings the sounds of traditional mariachi to the heart of New York City. Centered on the song "Qué bonita es mi tierra," Mariachi Violetas pays homage to the cultural roots of mariachi while embracing the dynamic, ever-evolving landscape of the music of Mexico in the U.S.
