John King's Free Palestine quartets were begun in 2013 and continue to be written to the present day. This ongoing series has 160+ quartets in total so far. The concert will have selections chosen from throughout these past 12 years of works. Each quartet is named after a Palestinian village ethnically cleansed in Palestine, beginning with the Nakba in 1948 and continuing through to the current genocide. The "free" in the title not only references Palestinian liberation from the river to the sea, but also the individual freedoms within the realization of each of these works, amplifying and strengthening the spirit of collaboration and a collective praxis.

A livestream will be available free of charge at 8pm Eastern on the day of the performance and archived for future viewing.
