Naked City Brewery and Taphouse, Seattle, WA, United States

The Live Music Project presents an evening with composer Judah Adashi and cellist Lavena Johanson.

Married last year in Seattle (Lavena’s hometown) and living in Baltimore (Judah’s hometown), these two musicians are passionate about creating inviting concert experiences, exploring the continuum between classical music and other genres, and engaging the world beyond music in their work.

The centerpiece of their concert will be a piece that Judah wrote for Lavena in 2014, my heart comes undone. The piece takes its title and inspiration from a song by Björk. When we approached Lavena and Judah to schedule this event, we found that our schedules aligned on the night of the first total eclipse of the sun since 1979. Judah jokingly suggested that we call the event "Total Eclipse of My Heart Comes Undone," and it stuck!

This event is 21+. Tickets are $15 online, $20 at the door. Add $10 to your ticket and we'll send you home with 2 mystery records curated by Spin Cycle records. Doors open at 6:30pm; show is at 7. Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Proceeds benefit the Live Music Project.

Thank you to our sponsor, Spin Cycle Records on Broadway!
