In this grand finale of the Northwest Chamber Chorus concert season, the Chorus sings Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna for choir and orchestra. "Rest eternal grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine on them" is heard at the beginning, and again at the end of this incredible masterwork by one of the great American choral composers of our time. The opportunities to perform a major work with a 24-piece professional orchestra are special moments in the NWCC's long history and one you won't want to miss. Adding to this program are Northern Lights by Ola Gjeilo, Light Everlasting by Olaf Christiansen, and Jim Clements’ lush arrangement of Kate Rusby’s Underneath the Stars. We're pleased to sing these concerts in the beautiful acoustics of the newly remodeled University Congregational Church.
