Hristova and Choe are involved with Music of Remembrance, a Seattle-based chamber music organization dedicated to performing music composed by victims of the Holocaust. McGill, Principal Flute for the Seattle Symphony, has also risen to prominence in speaking out about social justice issues, and their passion for both music and justice inspires us all. The three together will light up our stage with this inspirational and thoughtful program.
We will also be premiering a work the BSO commissioned for this series by world renowned composer Jonathan Leshnoff.
As ever, our wonderful BSO musicians provide beautiful accompaniment to this stunning trio of soloists.
The concert will take place at 3pm.
An in-person Pre-Concert Lecture about the program will take place at 2:15pm in the Walton Theatre. Doors open at 2pm and seating is limited, so please plan accordingly.
Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel’s informative and engaging virtual Pre-Concert Lecture about the program will air on the BSO website during the week of the concert: https://www.bellinghamsymphony.org/watch
