Franz Lehár – The Merry Widow

Vashon Opera presents Franz Lehár’s effervescent operetta, The Merry Widow. In an atmosphere of refined giddiness, Vashon Opera will present the story of Hanna Glawari, a fabulously wealthy widow, and the attempts of an ambassador to find her a new husband to keep her fortune in his country. Come be enthralled and amused through mazurkas and can-can dancing as the Merry Widow waltzes her way to love.

The Merry Widow will receive 2 performances: Friday, May 6 at 7:30pm; and Sunday, May 8 at 2:30pm.

Vashon Opera joins many other performing arts organizations across the region in requiring both masks and proof of vaccination for entry to the Kay White Hall at Vashon Center for the Arts.
