"Lu seems already to possess something of the magic touch of early Leeds laureates Murray Perahia and Radu Lupu … A veritable poet of the keyboard." – The Guardian

Twenty-four-year-old Leeds Competition first prize winner and Chopin Competition prizewinning pianist Eric Lu makes his eagerly anticipated New York City main stage debut with this recital. One of the piano world’s most exciting and acclaimed young pianists, Lu is hailed for his technical mastery, deep musical sensitivity, and what The Guardian calls his "beautiful, luminous sound". The centerpiece of his program is NYC main stage debut fare — Schubert's beloved, epic A major Sonata — a towering work for a young pianist, and an ideal one for discovering Lu's breathtaking artistry.

Attending online: Concert available for viewing online for 72 hours from time of broadcast.
