The Kirkland Civic Orchestra plays annually as a part of the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks Summer Concert Series.
Come for a mix of movie and patriotic selections like "Raiders' March" from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, Victory at Sea, and popular marches like Colonel Bogey, Washington Post, and of course, The Stars and Stripes Forever!
This concert is presented by the Friends of the Ballard Locks, as part of their 2022 Free Summer Concerts Series at the Locks.
The Friends of the Ballard Locks endeavors to identify, preserve, and make available records and papers, images, film, and artifacts of enduring historical value concerning the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, Carl S. English, Jr. Botanical Garden, and the Lake Washington Ship Canal. The Friends perform this mission as individual volunteers for the Seattle District of the US Army Corps of Engineers with the common bonds of a desire to document the history of these sites and serve the local community.
