Soaring and searing brass works highlight the opening of the GSO's 72nd dynamic season! Mahler’s "Blumine" was originally set as a movement in his first symphony, before later being removed by the composer. Mexican composer Arturo Marquez's Danzón No. 7 provides blasts of brass that will get your feet moving. To round out the program, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 4 blazes to a fast and furious finish.

For over seven decades, the Georgia Symphony Orchestra (GSO) has engaged audiences through imaginative programming, visionary leadership, and critically acclaimed performances.
