This concert is a part of a tour in preparation for the recording of a full length album titled: Wagner's Nightmare. What does that entail, you ask? This project is a reckoning with classical music's crazy uncle. He's a lot of fun, but also a problem at the dinner table. So we, a violist and pianist who by rights don't really get to play Wagner, are going on a journey, a Wagnerfarht, if you will, to tease, study, and generally revel in our crazy uncle and his animus by exploring the things he didn't like. We talk about those dislikes, we write about them, we podcast and make witty social media posts about them, and above all, we play music pertaining to those subjects. All of this will culminate in an album of music over which our uncle would lose a lot of sleep. So here we have it. We hope you'll join us to be a part of Wagner's Nightmare!
