World-class musicians bring a selection of timeless and contemporary chamber pieces, spanning from the 18th century to works written and premiered in this decade. Each week includes pieces by this year's composer-in-residence, Reena Esmail. Held on the library plaza as weather permits.
About Composer-in-Residence Reena Esmail: Indian-American composer Reena Esmail works within the traditions of Hindustani and Western classical music, bringing communities together through musical spaces. She has previously been named a United States Artist Fellow in Music (2019) and a Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Fellow (2017-18), and among other commissions and engagements was Composer-in-residence during Seattle Symphony's 2021-22 season. She holds degrees from The Juilliard School and Yale School of Music.
