Franz Joseph Haydn — Selected works
Felix Mendelssohn — Selected works
Miguel del ÁguilaBarroqueada

Enjoy a performance featuring the Puget Sound Piano Trio – Maria Sampen, violin; Alistair MacRae, cello; and Ronaldo Rolim, piano.

The program combines gems of the piano trio repertoire by Haydn and Mendelssohn with the West Coast premiere of Miguel del Aguila's Barroqueada

Barroqueada is a contemporary interpretation of the Baroque suite through contemporary Latin idioms and dances. Miguel del Aguila wrote: "The almost 400-year-old Baroque Suite stands as an example of how classical music was able to integrate music from different cultures, social classes, ethnicities, and styles into one coherent work... Our society and classical music traditions stifle when we stop incorporating new idioms and cultural expressions into the mainstream of American contemporary music."

All are invited to a reception following the program hosted by the SAI international music fraternity.

Tickets: $20, general; $15 sr. citizen; military, Puget Sound faculty, staff, and Community Music participants.

Admission is free for current Puget Sound and K-12 students. Please obtain a complimentary ticket and show your student ID at the door.

COVID-19 Protocols: All in-person event attendees must be vaccinated and are required to follow safety protocols announced by the event sponsor, such as masking and registration or ticketing requirements. We look forward to welcoming all guests, including children and other unvaccinated individuals, back to campus soon. For more information, visit pugetsound.edu/coronavirus.
