Élisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre — Selected works
Jean-Féry Rebel — Selected works

Violinist Marc Destrube returns to the Gallery Concerts stage to celebrate the life and times of Élisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre, perhaps the most successful and influential female composer of the 18th Century. Known for her lyric melodies and raucous harmonies, de la Guerre's artistry was widely admired and punctured the musical glass ceiling in 18th-century France. Gallery Concerts founder/harpsichordist Jillon Stoppels Dupree and gambist Adaiha MacAdam-Somer round out the program with works by François Couperin and Jean-Féry Rebel.

PRE-CONCERT TALK: 45 mins BEFORE each concert. Learn more about music styles, composers, and unique instruments from world-class professionals!

PRE-TALKS are FREE for all attendees!
