"RESISTANCE" will explore themes of racial, cultural, financial, and environmental oppression, and will feature a world premiere by Oleg Boyko, a Ukrainian composer and guitarist. Written during the recent invasion during Ukraine, this Concerto for Guitar is undoubtedly an incredibly important work that shares the depth of Ukrainian suffering with the rest of the world.
Additionally, we will explore and honor those who suffered from the hands of oppression in history: from the trading of enslaved Africans, to the countless Native American atrocities, and even to the financial crisis of 2007-2009. We invite the public to join us for an artistic experience that will be passionate, powerful, and eye-opening.
