This classical choral concert will open by the Chorale singing a selection of sacred songs and hymns by featuring How Can I Keep From Singing, arranged by Karen P. Thomas; Gwyneth Walker's I Thank You God; a Hebrew song by Pablo Casals, Nigra Sum – Shechora Ani; and Set Me as a Seal, based on Song of Solomon, composed by Richard Nance, Associate Director of Choral Activities at Pacific Lutheran University. Other selections include an old Norwegian vocal tradition of the hymn Fairest Lord Jesus and a lively piece by Brazilian composer Ernani Aguiar based on Psalm 150. This first half of the program will end with Music Down in My Soul, Moses Hogan's arrangement of the African-American Spiritual Over My Head.

The second half of the concert features the Mixed Chorus performing Carmina Burana with two pianos and percussion accompaniment. 

Daniel M. Colgan, Artistic Director, will direct the Mixed Chorus. Vicki Jardine-Tobin, Associate Director, directs the Chorale. April Kuhr, Collaborative Pianist, accompanies the Chorale.

About Nadine Bozeman, voice

Nadine serves as Artistic Director for Olympia Youth Chorus (OYC), and has directed with the organization for over 10 years. After graduating in 2009, she began teaching in the Olympia School District, where she taught choir and general music for 9 years. In 2019, she started Sweet Francis Sewing Co, and left the classroom to pursue her business full time. Nadine is an active member of NAfME and ACDA, and still finds her way to the music classroom by providing workshops and clinics to local music teachers, adjudicating for local choir festivals, and accompanying. An OYC alum, Nadine is passionate about sharing her love of music with young singers and musicians!
