The 19th Century was an incredible period of folk influence on classical music masters. Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Ravel transformed their fascination with local traditions into unrivaled masterpieces. Pacific Festival Ballet dancers enchant as featured soloists for dances of Brahms. Los Angeles-based composer Derrick Skye energetically blends fun with global music influences for a world premiere work written for NWS Concertmaster Alyssa Park.
