After years in the making, Grammy Award–winning violinist Joshua Bell presents The Elements, his newly commissioned project featuring works by renowned American composers Kevin Puts, Edgar Meyer, Jake Heggie, Jennifer Higdon, and Jessie Montgomery paired with striking onscreen visuals. "Working with such an incredible collection of talent represented in one epic opus will be truly historic," says Bell, "I am thrilled to share this collective work celebrating the beauty of our natural world." Gianandrea Noseda closes the program with Brahms' radiant Symphony No. 1—a noble, tender, towering masterwork of emotion.
