Fabio Biondi, who has forged a reputation for "fresh, vibrant performances" (The New York Times), returns to conduct Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4. Known as the "Italian," this vivacious symphony captures the zest and exhilaration of Italy’s sun-soaked vistas, bustling cities, and idyllic countryside.

But first, young Japanese pianist Mao Fujita performs one of the grandest of Mozart's piano concertos: No. 25. Fujita, whose recent recordings of Mozart's complete sonatas have gained resounding critical acclaim, has been called "a musician of tremendous versatility and taste, with a poetic sense of pulse" (The Times).

Runs Apr. 3-6.
