Please join us for our 3rd annual opera picnic at Villa Catalana!

This year we will be presenting Donizetti's timeless masterpiece, L'Elisir d'Amore, or "The Elixir of Love."

Gates open at 5:15pm, performance at 6pm.

Please take note of the following policies before purchasing your tickets:

1. Refunds are not available, but you can transfer to another person in the event you cannot attend.
2. Please NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL.
3. Food and wine are NOT included. To keep costs low we ask that you please supply your own wine glasses and pack out any trash.
4. The event will be held rain or shine under our covered grape arbor or our amphitheater (weather permitting). Please bring or wear the appropriate attire.

About Zachary Lenox, baritone (Belcore)

About Stacey Murdock, baritone (Dulcamara)

Stacey Murdock has performed extensively throughout the Northwest in opera, oratorio, and musical theater. Stacey's musical credits include: Poo-Bah in The Mikado, Fredrik Egerman in A little Night Music, the title role in Man of La Mancha, Curly in Oklahoma, and The Chairman in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. His theater credits include Benedick in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, and The Ghost of Christmas Present in Dickens' A Christmas Carol. He performs with Portland Opera, most recently as Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro, and has also been a member of the Portland Opera to Go outreach program for 9 seasons.

Stacey has appeared frequently with the Astoria Music Festival and Portland Summerfest. He is also a successful concert artist, and has sung with the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra as the Baritone Soloist in Haydn's Creation, and with the St. James Lutheran Bach Vespers. Stacey has been featured twice by the Beaverton Symphony, first as Schaunard in Puccini's La Bohème, and then as Figaro in Rossini's The Barber of Seville.

About Nathalie Fortin, piano

Nathalie Fortin was born in Montreal, Canada, where she studied piano at the Montreal Conservatory under Madame Anisia Campos. In 1994 she obtained her Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where she studied accompanying and chamber music with Dr. Jean Barr. In the spring of 2003 she obtained a Doctorate of Musical Arts with a major in Keyboard collaborative Arts under Dr. Alan Smith at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. The same year, she was given the Keyboard Collaborative Arts Department Award. She worked as a staff accompanist at the Montreal Conservatory and the University of Montreal, and collaborated with artists in Canada, Europe, and the United States, where she participated in various festivals. Nathalie now lives in Eugene where she is active as a collaborative pianist and teacher. She has worked for Lane Community College, the Oregon Bach Festival, Eugene Opera, Eugene Symphony, the Oregon Mozart Players, and the University of Oregon.
