- Nicholas Phan, tenor
- Eric Owens, bass-baritone
- David Robertson, conductor
"In the Beginning …." This telling of Genesis is a choral gem of the Age of Enlightenment. Haydn draws out the story of the Creation and embroiders it with scintillating word-painting, depicting all the wonders of the first six days. Beginning in Chaos, we hear the birth of the universe, light dividing from dark, earth from water. Soon we are joined by all the charming and cheerful beasts that populate it! Conductor David Robertson is joined by a starry cast of soloists and the Seattle Symphony Chorale to depict all the joys of the cosmos.
Pre-concert talk presented one hour prior to each performance. Free with ticket purchase.
Runs June 5-8.
