Resonance Ensemble and Orchestra Nova Northwest, two organizations with deep commitments to innovative programming that promotes meaningful social change, are thrilled to join forces for an electrifying performance harnessing the massive power of choral/orchestral music to call attention to global and national conflicts causing humanitarian crises today – and to advocate for substantial change.

This program will present a work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw that uses excerpts of American poet Emma Lazarus' poem The New Colossus and also addresses refugee crises, and a rarely performed work of American composer Margaret Bonds that sets W.E.B. Du Bois' stirring Credo from his 1920 autobiography, Darkwater: Voices from within the Veil. For the finale of the concert, Resonance has invited the choirs of Lewis & Clark College and Reed College to join in the powerful Dona nobis pacem by Ralph Vaughan Williams, an urgent cry for global peace and reconciliation.

2 performances of this program:
- Saturday, March 15, 7:30pm at Reynolds High School in Troutdale
- Sunday, March 16, 3pm at the Reser Center for the Arts in Beaverton
