Francis Poulenc, a trailblazing figure in 20th-century classical music, fearlessly embraced his identity as an openly gay artist during the tumultuous era of the German occupation of Paris. About Zach Galatis, flute

Zachariah Galatis' "irresistible energy, appealing tone, and dazzling technique" (The Oregonian) have cemented his place in Portland's music community. Serving as solo piccolo of the Oregon Symphony since 2012, Zach also frequently appears with Third Angle New Music and 45th Parallel.

About María García, piano

María García has gained recognition as a soloist, collaborative pianist and teacher. Praised for her "dynamic, warmly expressive and exciting style" she was All Classical Portland Radio's 2022-2023 Artist in Residence and has recorded solo and chamber works for All Classical's Recording Inclusivity Initiative. She began piano studies in her native Puerto Rico at the age of four making her debut with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra at ten. She holds a Bachelor's of Music with Distinction in Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Master's and Doctoral Studies (ABD) from SUNY Stony Brook. Her principal teachers were Luz Hutchinson, Victor Rosenbaum, and Gilbert Kalish. She has performed throughout the United States,Europe, Israel, South America, and Tunisia. In the Portland area, she collaborates with 45th Parallel Universe, Third Angle, Oregon Symphony, and Oregon Ballet Theatre, and was a founding member of the Award-winning 20 Digitus Duo. During the summer she directs the Piano Program at YMA.
