About Nathaniel F. Parker, conductor
A talented and versatile musician, Nathaniel F. Parker has conducted orchestras in the United States, Peru, Russia, Poland, England, and the Czech Republic. Equally at home working with professionals and training future generations of musicians, Dr. Parker is Director of Orchestral Studies at the Kennesaw State University School of Music—serving as Music Director and Conductor of the Kennesaw State University Symphony Orchestra and Conductor of the Kennesaw State University Opera Program—and Associate Conductor of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra.
About Danko Drusko, conductor
Danko Druško, Director of Orchestral Studies at Chapman University, is a soughtafter, award-winning conductor and educator born to Croatian immigrants in Germany. He is a regular guest conductor and frequently serves as a cover conductor for the LA Phil. Druško is also the Artistic Director of the California Orchestra Academy, a program designed to provide high-level, pre-professional experiences for young musicians, regardless of their economic background. He has collaborated with a vast array of artists across genres—from Classical to Rock and Disney—including Alison Balsom, Beck, Nicola Benedetti, Harry Connick Jr., Gustavo Dudamel, and many more.
Previously, Druško held positions as Director of Orchestra and Opera at the NIU School of Music and Associate Instructor at the IU Jacobs School of Music. He also taught at the University of Guelph in Canada as part of an international exchange through the Federal Republic of Germany. Druško holds a Doctor of Music degree from the IU Jacobs School of Music, where his mentors included Arthur Fagen, Cliff Colnot, David Effron, Hanspeter Gmür, and Manfred Schreier.
He received his masters degree in orchestral conducting from the Eastman School of Music and holds Staatsexamen degrees from both the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen (Music Education) and the University of Konstanz (English Literature & Linguistics). He also passed the highly competitive physical aptitude test required to study sport science in Germany.
