Lisa Batiashvili performs Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4, a work both charming in its Classical poise and virtuosic in its technical demands. On the second half: Bartók’s fairy-tale ballet, The Wooden Prince. Written for an enormous orchestra, the piece is full of rhythmic liveliness and references to Hungarian folk music. Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute begins this program led by Iván Fischer.
Runs Apr. 25-27.
