Inspired by Dutch artist M.C. Escher’s talent for combining smaller components of a composition to create a cohesive whole, the Escher Quartet has garnered an impressive list of achievements since their inception in 2005. They are the recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, were a BBC New Generation Artist, and are regular performers at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Joining them is flutist Brandon Patrick George, a versatile soloist and chamber musician who has appeared at renowned venues across the United States and Europe. Since 2018, he has also been flutist of Imani Winds, with whom he won a Grammy in 2024. George and the Escher Quartet will perform Amy Beach's Theme and Variations for Flute and String Quartet and Alberto Ginastera's Impresiones de la Puna. Full program to be announced.
