A pianist renowned for her powerful technical facility and wholehearted performances, pianist Sarah Rothenberg comes to the Phillips having previously performed at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Barbican Centre, Concertgebouw, Palais des Beaux-Arts, 92nd Street Y, and Getty Museum, among many other series across the United States. Rothenberg is recognized internationally as a leader in innovative programming and is committed to reaching new audiences and making music of all genres more accessible. A highlight of the 2024-25 season, this concert features the Washington, DC, premiere of a new work by 2024 Pulitzer-Prize-winning composer Tyshawn Sorey, alongside other works for piano.
