Emerald City Music returns to the stage for its ninth season, celebrating Artistic Director Kristin Lee's upcoming solo album, American Sketches. American Sketches captures the pride that Kristin Lee has for the U.S. as a foreign-born citizen, through tunes that embody a recognizable and spirited sound. Lee performs with pianist Jun Cho, showcasing selections from the album including music by H.T. Burleigh, Jonathan Ragonese, Ernest Bloch, George Gershwin, J.J. Johnson, Scott Joplin, and Amy Beach, with arrangements by Jeremy Ajani Jordan.
Emerald City Music is the Pacific Northwest home for eclectic, intimate, and vibrant classical chamber music experiences. Known for a casual environment combined with award winning artists, ECM has gained recognition since its founding in 2015. With the season's theme of "Global Resonance," Emerald City Music invites audiences to experience the world's diverse musical sounds through fifteen vibrant concerts this season.

Pianist Jun Cho is a versatile artist who enjoys a multidimensional career as a soloist, chamber musician and educator. He has performed in many of the major venues throughout the United States, South Korea, and Europe. An avid collaborator, Cho performs with musicians including Itzhak Perlman, Philippe Quint, Stefan Jackiw, Randall Goosby, and JP Jofre.
