Lewis & Clark Orchestra – Upcoming Concerts
The Lewis & Clark Orchestra, made up of music majors as well as non-music majors, performs at least two concerts per semester in the beautiful and acoustically superb Agnes Flanagan Chapel in a broad range of orchestral repertoire ranging from 18th through the 21st Centuries. The ensemble rehearses twice a week and is also coached in sectional rehearsals by members of the music faculty. Future goals include off campus performances, commissions of new works, and collaborations with other disciplines on campus. An annual concerto competition is held each fall and the winner(s) are featured soloists with the orchestra in the following semester. The Lewis & Clark Orchestra also collaborates annually with the Community Chorale to present choral/orchestra works. Membership in the Lewis & Clark Orchestra is by audition and open to all students regardless of their major.
