Vox Feminarum is an organization that addresses the long-standing disparity between male and female composers in classical music and musical theater. Through a recent informal survey, we found that not one respondent named a female composer their favorite, underscoring the systemic gap in the recognition and promotion of women composers. This disparity in visibility and representation fuels our mission—to bridge the gap and ensure that the voices of women composers are celebrated on an equal footing with their male counterparts.

Our core focus is presenting original works by women composers in public concerts, providing them with a platform highlighting the diversity of their contributions across all musical forms. Vox Feminarum is committed to showcasing innovative compositions that celebrate vocal and instrumental music through opera, musical theater, song cycles, chamber music, or poetry. By emphasizing the transformative power of the human voice and the artistry of women across musical genres, we aim to reshape the classical music landscape and challenge the norms that have historically excluded women from gaining widespread recognition.
