The program will open with Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever, conducted by the winner of the 2015 Gala Auction. Dr. Paul-Elliott Cobbs, music director, will take the podium and lead the orchestra in the Philharmonic Fanfare by Richard Strauss, followed by the Overture to La forza del destino ("The Force of Destiny") by Verdi. Megan Chenovick, soprano, and Ryan Bede, baritone, will be the featured soloists on arias and duets by Rossini, Mozart and Verdi. The program will close with Capriccio Italien by Tchaikovsky.
