Experience bold repertoire with roots that run deep in American musical history! In the first concert of the season, be enchanted by world renowned master Steinway pianist Mark Salman in a dazzling performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Also included in this season premier concert is Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Elmer Bernstein's Theme from the Magnificent Seven, one of the most enduring soundtrack recordings of the 20th century, the compelling Grand Canyon Suite by composer Ferde Grofé, and a rousing rendition of Custer’s The American Frontier.
