J.S. Bach – Jesu, meine Freude
Giovanni Rigatti – Nisi Dominus
Heinrich Schütz – Es steh Gott auf

J.S. Bach’s beloved motet, Jesu, meine Freude, is the centerpiece of this all-Baroque program featuring Seattle’s next generation of early music performers. Giovanni Rigatti’s Nisi Dominus and Heinrich Schütz’s Es steh Gott auf fill out the program, along with secular works for voices, strings and continuo.

The program features Madeline Bersamina and Rebekah Gilmore, sopranos; Joshua Haberman, countertenor; Wesley Rogers, tenor; and Thomas Thompson, baritone; with period strings and organ. These accomplished solo artists with ensemble sensibilities promise a concert of clarity and expressive power.

The instrumental ensemble will feature Ingrid Matthews, Cecilia Archuleta, Laurel Wells, Page Smith, and Henry Lebedinsky.
