Exquisite trios for guitar with flute and viola were popular indeed during Beethoven and Schubert's time, but have been little heard of since. Our program skips to the here and now for the world premiere of Seattle-area composer Huntley Beyer's In Dreams for flute and viola, and a new work by Michael Nicolella.
About the series
The third annual Candlelight Concerts in memory of George Shangrow continues a tradition which George initiated with candlelight evenings of chamber music and holiday favorites over many decades. Chamber music both familiar and new is performed by some of the Northwest's prominent soloists.
